Ad Marginem Docs

A research workspace for the marginalia of academic reading.

What is Ad Marginem

Ad Marginem is a local-first research workspace built around marginalia: highlights, sticky notes, drawings, citations. Your library lives on your devices first; sync is an opt-in feature that handles conflicts surgically rather than silently.

These docs cover installation, daily workflows, citation styling, sync troubleshooting, and migration from other tools.

Coming from Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, or Paperpile? The Migration section walks through each.
Need keyboard shortcuts or sync diagnostics? Reference has both.
